Welcome to the Sundance Lake Residents Association Ltd.
Lake Sundance is a private lake and park in the community of Lake Sundance and is for the exclusive use of Lake Sundance residents and their guests. Our objective is to be the best run lake, park and recreation facility in Calgary. Through proactive initiatives, we will operate and maintain lake and park facilities that effectively meet the needs of the Members of the Sundance community and enhance their quality of life.

​9:00am - 10:00pm, Mon-Sun
Office closes at 9:30 pm. 



Park Status  updated: February 25, 2021
​Guests - Members may bring in up to 2 guests/house/day
Toboggan Hills - both toboggan hills are open. No snow boards, snow skates or snow scooters.
Ice Fishing - Open. Please drill ice fishing holes towards the middle of the lake and please fill your hole in with snow before you leave.
​Skating on upper rink- Open for pleasure skating. Max of 50 skaters. Skating in one direction only. Please limit your skate to 1 hour during busy times.
Skating rink on basketball court - Open for pleasure skating. Max of 10 skaters. No sticks/pucks.
Skate change area - Benches have been placed beside the upper rink for skate change. Indoor skate change rooms are closed except for washrooms. Please do not store your belongings under the benches as space is limited. Please bring only what you need.
Skating rinks on the lake - 2 rinks on the lake are open. Max capacity of 50 people. Sticks/pucks are permitted for skills. No hockey/shinny.
Skating pathway on the lake - open. Social distancing is required.

Hockey/shinny - Closed as per AHS regulations
Firepit -Will be on in the evenings provided that social distancing and gathering restrictions are met. No more than 10 people and distancing 2m from people outside your household.
Washrooms & Park office - Open. Face masks must be worn. No lingering in the buildings

We have modified our guest policy, effective immediately. Members can now sign in two guests per household on ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. That means weekends too!!

​Hello Sundance Lake Residents,

We are pleased to announce that our lake is now open!

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 government and health regulations and guidelines.The safety of our employees, members and guests continues to be paramount. Remember: we are all responsible for following regulatory guidelines and safety measures. Please share this with all members of your household.

Effective immediately, we have modified our park admission: 

Members may bring up to 2 guests/household/day on weekdays. No guests on weekends or statutory holidays

Members must continue to scan their lake card and sign in their guests at the Office. Continue to keep a physical distance from others (at least 2 meters), wash or sanitize your hands often, and do not visit the park if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone showing symptoms. All activities are subject to social distancing rules at all times (minimum of 2 metres apart). i.e. no hockey games/shinny - AHS order.

There are rink capacities in effect. When a rink reaches capacity, access will be granted on a one-off, one-on basis or please choose another rink.

The large upper rink has a maximum capacity of 50 people. No sticks/pucks. 

The basketball court rink has a maximum capacity of 10 people. No sticks/pucks.

The two lake rinks each have a maximum capacity of 50 people. Sticks/pucks are permitted for skills. No hockey games/shinny.

The lake loop has no capacity limit. Sticks/pucks are permitted. No hockey games/shinny.

Both toboggan hills are open.

The firepit will be turned on in the evenings provided the social distancing and gathering restrictions are met. No more than 10 people and distance 2m from people outside your household.

The Main and Upper Clubhouse washrooms are open. The skate change rooms are not available at this time - AHS order. Lingering inside the buildings is not permitted. Face masks must be worn by all persons entering the buildings. No mask, no access.

Benches are available along the rinks for changing skates. Social distancing rules apply. No personal belongings stored by the benches to avoid crowding. Please bring only what you need.

We will continue to assess the situation and will modify entrance requirements and usage of amenities as appropriate. Please check www.lakesundance.org for updates before your visit.

AGM POSTPONED
Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the City of Calgary, the Board of Directors has decided to postpone the AGM that was originally scheduled for Thursday November 19th.

We apologize for the short notice, but the health and safety of our members and our staff continues to be a priority for us. 

We have not yet set a new date for the AGM. Please watch for email notices and updates on our website and Facebook page.

​2020-2021 Lake Fees
Just a reminder that September 30, 2020 is the last day for members to pay lake fees for July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 without penalty. As of October 1, 2020, interest will be charged on all outstanding accounts and fees will need to be paid in full for members to continue to have access to the park. 
How can you pay your fees?
  1. Pay at the lake office with cheque or debit
  2. Send an e-Transfer to payment@lakesundance.org (be sure to include your name and address in the memo section)
  3. Mail a cheque to 63 Suncrest Way SE, Calgary, T2X 1T9
Invoices for this year’s lake fees were sent out in early June, either by Canada Post or by email. If you are receiving the e-newsletters then you should have received your invoice by email. If you didn’t receive your invoice please check your Spam folder, or you can send an email to office@lakesundance.org to request a copy. 
 
To ensure you receive invoices in the future, please add payment@lakesundance.org to your address book or contact list.
