Banquet Hall Rentals
Our Banquet Hall is located on the upper level of the Sundance Lodge and can accommodate up to 160 people. This hall may be rented by members and non-members.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the capacity of the Banquet Hall?
The hall holds a maximum capacity of 160 people.
Does renting the hall allow me and my guests access to the park and facilities?
Your attendees are not allowed access into the park for leisure purposes. However, if you have booked one of our wedding packages we do allow you to pre-submit a list of people to go into the park with you for photos. It is a one-time entry, attendees are expected to stay with the host and respect park rules at all times.
What is NOT included in the rental?
Table linens, dishes, cutlery, decorations, etc.
Catering and bartending.
Liquor license.
Liability insurance or Party Alcohol Liability insurance.
Guest usage is restricted to the Banquet Hall and deck only. Access to other amenities including the park/lake is not permitted unless you have booked a wedding package (Access would be granted for wedding photos only).
Can our catering company cook in the kitchen?
Our facility offers a finishing / staging kitchen for warming food that is cooked in another facility and doesn't produce much external grease or heat. There is an oven and microwave for warming your prepared dishes. Cooking food is not permitted.
Are stages, risers or bouncy castles allowed?
These props are not allowed to be utilized in our space as they can and have caused damage to our floors.
Can we have alcohol during our rental?
Yes. However, when serving alcohol at your event you are required to have the proper insurance and pay for security from the start of alcohol service. Please make sure to express interest in having alcohol during your rental at the time of booking.

Are we required to clean the room post-event?
All renters are required to remove all personal belongings from the room, as well as wipe down and put away tables and chairs before the end of their rental period.
Renters can clean the room themselves * or opt to hire our cleaners. Cleaning tasks include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping down the kitchen & bar, and cleaning windows.
*If your rental runs past park hours you are required to pay the cleaning fee. Park hours do vary.
Are pets or live animals allowed?
Lake Sundance follows a strict no animals policy. The safety of our members, guests, staff and park wildlife are our number one priority. Certified service animals are an exception to this policy and are welcome at our facility.
Emotional Support Animals are not permitted.
What is the booking policy?
Bookings are on a first come, first served basis. No holds will be accepted without a signed and completed rental agreement.
Sundance members may book the room up to 12 months PLUS 1 day in advance.
Non-members may book the room up to 12 months in advance.
Bookings may only be made in person during regular office hours.
The renter must pay for the room rental at the time of booking.
Methods of payment accepted: debit, e-Transfer or cheque. Sorry, we do NOT accept credit cards.
What is the cancelation policy?
Payment of the room rental is due in full at the time of booking.
All cancellations 2 months or more prior to the event will receive a 50% refund.
No refund will be issued for cancellations less than 2 months prior to the event date.
Do I need to provide a damage deposit and when is it returned to me?
A damaged deposit of $1200 is required two weeks before your event. Provided there are no damages your deposit will be returned to you by cheque 10-14 days after the event. It can be picked up in the office or mailed to you.
Can I rent outside of park hours?
Yes, your event can extent past park hours but must begin during park hours because staff need to check you in and complete the sign-in process. A security guard is required for a minimum of three hours for the time the event is happening outside of park hours.
Can I hang decorations?
All members are required to submit a decoration plan 30 days prior to their event.

No open flames, fog or smoke producing machines or sparklers. This includes candles. We recommend battery operated candles for cakes and centerpieces. Please also see FAQ on chafing dishes.
No glitter, confetti or bubbles.
Decorations may not be attached to the ceiling or light fixtures.
Absolutely NO scotch tape, duct tape, double-sided tape, 3M hooks/tape, masking tape, nails, tacks, staples or any sharp-ended materials may be used on, or inserted into, any surfaces inside or outside the building. Painters tape and freestanding structures are allowed.
Are Chafing dishes permitted?
Chafing dishes that are warmed with a methanol gel fuel (which is smokeless) are permitted. Tea lights/candles cannot be used to heat chafing dishes.
